About 1 in 4 men over 30 has low testosterone1

In a survey of men aged 30 to 79, 24% had total testosterone below 300 ng/dL. Fewer of them had symptoms too, which is why a physician looks at both before treating. 1 Araujo AB, Esche GR, Kupelian V, et al. "Prevalence of Symptomatic Androgen Deficiency in Men." J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2007

The reference range for healthy young men

264 to 916 ng/dL is the harmonized reference range for healthy men aged 19 to 39 (Travison TG et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab, 2017). The Endocrine Society guideline aims treatment at the mid-normal range (Bhasin S et al., 2018).

What each range usually means

  • Under 264 · Low

    • Below the reference range
    • Low testosterone, if you also have symptoms
    • Confirmed with a second morning test
  • 264–500 · Low-normal

    • Inside the range
    • Symptoms here still get a look
    • Other causes are checked first
  • 500–800 · Mid-normal

    • Where treatment usually aims
    • Levels are rechecked after you start
    • The dose is adjusted to stay here
  • 800+ · High-normal

    • Upper end of the range
    • Above 916 is above the range
    • The dose comes down if you go over

And the usual fix creates a second problem

Testosterone therapy works by adding testosterone from outside. Your body reads the higher level, decides it does not need to make its own, and slows down, which can lower sperm count while you are on it. That is why we also offer ways to keep your own production going.

What low testosterone actually feels like

  • Tired even after a full night's sleep
  • Less muscle, more fat around the middle
  • Sex drive or morning erections are not what they were
  • Harder to concentrate or remember
  • Flatter mood, shorter fuse
  • Strength and recovery slipping

A better way to raise testosterone: chosen with a physician

  • U.S.-licensed physicians

A physician reviews your symptoms, history and labs before anything is prescribed, and sets the dose with you.

  • Licensed U.S. pharmacies

Compounded or commercial, every prescription is filled by a licensed U.S. pharmacy and shipped to your door.

  • Followed with your labs

Levels are rechecked after you start, and your physician adjusts the plan until you are in range.

* Your physician can add hCG or gonadorelin to help maintain testicular size and sperm production.

** In a randomized trial, enclomiphene raised testosterone while sperm counts stayed normal (Wiehle RD et al., Fertil Steril, 2014).

You don't have to give up natural production or fertility to raise testosterone.

Enclomiphene raises testosterone by signaling your own body, and hCG or gonadorelin can be added to testosterone therapy. Your physician helps you choose.

From the Testosterone Trials in men 65 and older with low testosterone (Snyder PJ et al., N Engl J Med, 2016; JAMA Intern Med, 2017). Individual results vary.

What the research shows

  • Safe

In 5,246 men with low testosterone and heart risk, testosterone did not raise major heart events versus placebo. Study: TRAVERSE, N Engl J Med, 2023.

  • Effective

Raising testosterone to the mid-normal range improved sexual function and mood in men 65 and older. Study: Testosterone Trials, N Engl J Med, 2016.

  • Fertility-friendly

Enclomiphene raised testosterone into the normal range while sperm counts stayed normal; topical testosterone lowered them. Study: Fertil Steril, 2014.

You have questions, we have answers

Contact support
What is testosterone therapy and how does it work?

It raises low testosterone with a prescription medicine. Injections, cream and oral capsules add testosterone from outside; enclomiphene signals your own body to make more. A physician chooses the option and dose with you and follows your levels.

How do I know which option is right for me?

It depends on your levels, your symptoms, your routine and whether you want to keep fertility. Answer a few questions and a U.S.-licensed physician recommends the option and dose that fit you.

Do I need lab work?

Yes. Low testosterone is confirmed with morning blood tests, usually repeated, and levels are rechecked after you start to keep you in range.

Is testosterone therapy safe? What about side effects?

Prescribed and monitored, it has been studied for decades; in the TRAVERSE trial it did not raise major heart events versus placebo. Common effects include acne, fluid retention and a rise in red blood cells, so your physician checks your blood counts and PSA.

Will it affect my fertility?

Testosterone from outside can lower sperm production while you take it. Enclomiphene keeps your own production going, and hCG or gonadorelin can be added to testosterone therapy. Tell your physician if you want children.

How quickly will I notice a difference?

Sexual interest often changes within about 3 to 6 weeks, mood within weeks, and body composition over 3 to 6 months (Saad F et al., Eur J Endocrinol, 2011). Results vary.

How is it billed?

Monthly, every 3 months or every 6 months; longer plans cost less per month. Shipping is free and you can pause or cancel anytime.

Your care team, one message away.

Every plan includes unlimited messaging with your physician and care team, from your first questions to every dose change.
