Every plan includes
(methionine, inositol, choline and B12)
MIC is the classic lipotropic trio: methionine, an amino acid the liver uses as a methyl donor; inositol, a sugar-like molecule involved in fat and insulin signaling; and choline, essential for exporting fat from the liver. B12 is added for energy metabolism. It is the most widely used lipotropic injection and the entry point for most members who want one alongside their plan.
3 + 1
methionine, inositol and choline, plus B12, in one weekly injection
MIC injections lack large trials for weight loss; they support liver fat metabolism and correct low B12. Your physician places them inside a real plan.

Day 1
A US-licensed physician reviews your symptoms, history and, when needed, your B12 level, and chooses the injection and schedule. The kit includes everything you need.
Week 1
A small intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, weekly to start. It takes under a minute; most people do it at home without trouble.

Weeks 2–4
If your B12 was low, energy, focus and tingling usually start improving here as stores refill.

Months 2–3
Your physician checks in, rechecks a level if needed, and stretches the interval or adjusts the blend to match your plan.

Beyond
Injections support the plan; food, movement and sleep do the work. Your physician helps you decide how long to continue.

Important safety information and common side effects
Vitamin B12 and lipotropic injections are generally well tolerated. The most common effects are mild: soreness, redness or a small bruise at the injection site, and occasionally mild nausea, headache or a fishy body odor from choline in larger doses. B12 is water-soluble and excess is excreted. Rarely, injectable B12 can cause an allergic reaction, and it can lower potassium in the first days of correcting a severe deficiency. Not for people with cobalt allergy or Leber's disease (B12) or with a known allergy to any component. Lipotropic blends are not a substitute for a weight-loss plan and are not prescribed during pregnancy or breastfeeding without a specific reason. Stop and seek care for hives, swelling of the face or lips or trouble breathing. Tell your physician about every medication you take, especially metformin, acid reducers and blood thinners.
Lipotropic (MIC) injections combine methionine, inositol, choline and B12. We found no randomized trial of the blend for weight loss. The only sources we use here are neutral: fact sheets and reviews of the individual nutrients.
We found no randomized trial of methionine, inositol, choline and B12 injections for fat loss or weight. No outcome of the blend has been tested in people in a controlled way.
No randomized trial of the blend identified; the NIH choline fact sheet is the neutral reference for the nutrientsCholine is an essential nutrient with an adequate intake level set for adults; deficiency is what its supplementation treats. The fact sheet does not describe a weight-loss effect.
NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, Choline fact sheetVitamin B12 is used to correct deficiency. Its established use is for people who are deficient, and the trials of oral versus injected B12 were in deficient people, not in people with normal levels.
Cochrane Database Syst Rev (CD004655.pub3); NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, Vitamin B12 fact sheetWhat the studies found
The products sold as lipotropic injections are compounded blends. The trials of single nutrients do not test the blend, and no trial tests the compounded product for weight loss.
What this does not say
Choline is required to export fat from the liver and low intake is linked to fatty liver; injected B12 restores levels reliably when absorption is the problem.
No large trial shows MIC injections cause weight loss on their own. Zepym Health prescribes MIC / B12 as support inside a plan, and your physician says so plainly.

In practice they are the same idea: methionine, inositol, choline and B12. Names vary by pharmacy formulation and concentration. Your physician picks the one that fits your dose and plan; if you are not sure, start with MIC / B12.
Usually into the muscle of the upper arm or thigh, or under the skin of the abdomen, once a week to start; your physician shows you and sets the schedule. The kit includes everything.
Mostly mild: soreness or a small bruise where you inject, occasional nausea or headache, and with larger choline doses a fishy odor. Serious reactions are rare. Read the safety information above and tell your physician about every medication.
For B12, often yes: a level tells your physician whether you are deficient and how often you need injections. For lipotropic blends alongside a weight-loss plan, your physician decides from your history. Tests can be arranged locally.
