Every plan includes
(the carnitine lipotropic blend)
Lipo-C pairs the lipotropic nutrients methionine and inositol with L-carnitine, the molecule that shuttles fatty acids into mitochondria so they can be burned for energy. It is chosen when energy during a calorie deficit is the main complaint. Like every lipotropic injection, it is support inside a plan, not a weight-loss drug on its own.
1.2 kg
average additional weight loss with L-carnitine supplementation across 37 randomized trials, in a 2020 meta-analysis
That effect was seen mostly in people who were overweight or obese, on top of their diet; it is modest. Prescribed at your physician's discretion.

Day 1
A US-licensed physician reviews your symptoms, history and, when needed, your B12 level, and chooses the injection and schedule. The kit includes everything you need.
Week 1
A small intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, weekly to start. It takes under a minute; most people do it at home without trouble.

Weeks 2–4
If your B12 was low, energy, focus and tingling usually start improving here as stores refill.

Months 2–3
Your physician checks in, rechecks a level if needed, and stretches the interval or adjusts the blend to match your plan.

Beyond
Injections support the plan; food, movement and sleep do the work. Your physician helps you decide how long to continue.

Important safety information and common side effects
Vitamin B12 and lipotropic injections are generally well tolerated. The most common effects are mild: soreness, redness or a small bruise at the injection site, and occasionally mild nausea, headache or a fishy body odor from choline in larger doses. B12 is water-soluble and excess is excreted. Rarely, injectable B12 can cause an allergic reaction, and it can lower potassium in the first days of correcting a severe deficiency. Not for people with cobalt allergy or Leber's disease (B12) or with a known allergy to any component. Lipotropic blends are not a substitute for a weight-loss plan and are not prescribed during pregnancy or breastfeeding without a specific reason. Stop and seek care for hives, swelling of the face or lips or trouble breathing. Tell your physician about every medication you take, especially metformin, acid reducers and blood thinners.
L-carnitine helps move fatty acids into the cells' energy furnaces. Its trial evidence is for modest changes in blood lipids, from several meta-analyses; it is not evidence of weight loss.
An umbrella meta-analysis of 13 meta-analyses of L-carnitine trials found significant reductions in total cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.
Umbrella meta-analysis of L-carnitine and lipid profile, 2023 (PMC10506516)A 2020 meta-analysis of randomized trials in type 2 diabetes found total cholesterol fell significantly; HDL and triglycerides did not change significantly.
Meta-analysis of L-carnitine in type 2 diabetes, 2020 (PMC7828761)A meta-analysis of randomized trials found that L-carnitine lowered lipoprotein(a), with the effect seen for oral dosing but not for intravenous.
Impact of L-carnitine on plasma lipoprotein(a), meta-analysis (PMC4709689)What the studies found
The trials used L-carnitine for blood lipids, orally or intravenously. Compounded lipo-C blends and their weight-loss claims were not tested in these trials.
What this does not say
A 2020 meta-analysis of 37 randomized trials found L-carnitine supplementation produced a modest additional weight loss, about 1.2 kg, mainly in people who were overweight or obese.
The effect is small and works on top of a real plan; lipotropic blends as a whole lack large trials. Your physician says so plainly and prescribes Lipo-C as support, not as the plan.

Lipo-B is built on choline and B12; Lipo-C swaps in L-carnitine, which helps mitochondria burn fat for energy and has modest trial evidence for extra weight loss. If low energy during a calorie deficit is your main issue, Lipo-C is often the choice. Your physician decides.
Usually into the muscle of the upper arm or thigh, or under the skin of the abdomen, once a week to start; your physician shows you and sets the schedule. The kit includes everything.
Mostly mild: soreness or a small bruise where you inject, occasional nausea or headache, and with larger choline doses a fishy odor. Serious reactions are rare. Read the safety information above and tell your physician about every medication.
For B12, often yes: a level tells your physician whether you are deficient and how often you need injections. For lipotropic blends alongside a weight-loss plan, your physician decides from your history. Tests can be arranged locally.
