What is the finasteride / minoxidil / tretinoin foam?
(the three-ingredient foam)
Minoxidil only works once the scalp converts it to minoxidil sulfate, and some people have low levels of the enzyme that does that. Tretinoin, a vitamin A derivative, raises that enzyme's activity and improves penetration through the skin, which is why it is added to minoxidil for people who respond weakly. Finasteride completes the foam by blocking DHT, the hormone behind pattern hair loss. This 30 mL bottle is a one-month supply on the monthly plan.

3-in-1
Tretinoin plus minoxidil has been reviewed as co-therapy for pattern hair loss; the triple compounded foam is prescribed off-label at your physician's discretion.
How the hair-loss foams work

Day 1
A US-licensed physician reviews your pattern of loss, history and photos and chooses the foam and strength. It ships discreetly to your door.

Weeks 1–4
Apply the foam to a dry scalp once a day, on the areas that are thinning. It takes a minute and dries quickly. Some early shedding is normal: old hairs are being replaced.

Months 2–3
Shedding slows and the scalp settles. New hairs start as fine, short growth that is easy to miss without photos, which is why we ask for them.

Months 4–6
Visible change for most responders: thicker coverage at the crown and hairline. Your physician reviews photos and decides whether to adjust the strength.

Beyond
Hair-loss treatment is maintenance: results last as long as you keep applying it. Stop, and the gains reverse over months.

Meet the teamWhat the research says
The science of finasteride, minoxidil and tretinoin
A 2026 review of tretinoin and minoxidil co-therapy in androgenetic alopecia found tretinoin enhances minoxidil's absorption and activation, improving response in some people who respond poorly to minoxidil alone.
Topical finasteride and minoxidil together outperformed either alone in a 2024 study. Tretinoin raises the chance of scalp irritation and sun sensitivity, so your physician weighs that before prescribing.
